ARTIST’S STATEMENT

2011 is all about celebrating our world!  Eco-friendly jewellery is the theme of our collection for Summer!

We will also continue to explore various ways of building a unique piece of jewellery but there will be a focus on casual elegance in the concept.

I have a passion for handcrafted works - whether it be painting, metal-smith, lanyards.  I use these techniques to architect my works.  My concept is simple - create something for everybody to cherish and enjoy.

My collection for 2010 includes hand painted greeting cards with a variety of cherry blossoms, butterflies, birds, and carps.  Using Chinese brush painting on rice paper complete it on various handmade motif paper.  Each card is created with the joy of sharing this wonderful artform.  The person receiving the card can frame it as an artwork and cherish it for a long time.

My jewelry line consists of the concept of celtic, chinese knots and lanyard  with gemstones, pearls, and any unique material that I can include to perfect the design.  All my designs are based on one concept – hand-built jewelry!  Part of this collection is inspired by how birdcages are built, the basic "over and under" rule of celtic knots, jewelry designs that allows the wearer to fully express their unique pieces and wearing their jewelry with comfort.  Enjoy the expressions of KNOTS collection!
